Team Fortress 2 is a game developed by Valve,
that until June 2011 was a commercial game, and now by Valve’s decision, is entirely free
. Although, to be able to get the game, players need to install the program Steam first, and only then one can download the game. For those unaware, Steam is a program to buy PC games, but in the Team Fortress 2 case, players will not be required to pay anything.
Team Fortress 2 is focused around two opposing teams competing for some game objectives. These teams represent two corporations that secretly control all governments in the world. Players can choose to play one of nine classes at their disposal, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The game was released in 2007 with six official maps, although now has about 25 extra maps, 9 arena maps and four training maps, which were included in subsequent updates. When the players play a given map for the first time, an introductory video shows how to complete the map objectives.

Nowadays servers can support up to 32 players.
Team Fortress 2, is the first game from Valve that provides detailed statistics for each player. These statistics include the time spent playing with each class, the maximum score obtained and the maximum number of objectives captured with a single life. The statistics are persistent and offer the player an idea if his performance is improving or deteriorating.
All nine classes are grouped into three specific types of combat classes: offensive, defensive and supportive.
As offensive classes we have the Scout, Soldier and Pyro, who are the main attack force of the team. These classes are specialized in causing chaos and destruction. Scouts have the ability to capture points in half the time than other classes. Soldiers cause great damage with their powerful rocket launchers. Pyros can wreak havoc in the ranks of the enemy with ambushes.

As defensive classes we have the Demoman, Engineer and Heavy, which serve to prevent the enemy’s access to vital map locations. In total, this group has more firepower than all other groups. Demomen can protect areas with sticky bombs and detonate them at will. Heavies are great for repelling enemy forces. Engineers can build sentry guns with incredible firepower, as well as teleporters and distributors.
And finally, there are the support classes: Medic, Sniper and Spy, which form the backbone of any team. They offer classes to the offensive and defensive squads, an extra edge in battle that can turn the tide of the game very quickly. Doctors have the power to heal teammates and leads them to about 150% of your maximum health. Snipers can target enemies from afar and use the Jarate to extinguish fires and increase the damage done by his team. Spies can infiltrate enemy lines, disable critical buildings and assassinating targets.
